As individuals we will at times experience trauma and life stressors.  In these circumstances, it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed, disconnected and alone. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and counselling in a supportive environment to help you effectively address personal life challenges, increase self- awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths so you have more meaningful life experiences.

My educational background includes a M.A. in Education (SFU), and a post graduate Art Therapy Diploma (VATI). In addition, I am certified in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and have completed numerous courses in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I am a licensed registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC) and Professional Art Therapist (CATA). My clinical practice incorporates training and experience in the treatment of anxiety related disorders, depression, trauma, PTSD, phobias, eating and behaviour disorders, grief / loss, parenting and relationship challenges, addiction, and life transitions.

I specialize in providing individual therapy for children, youth, and adults. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families living with autism spectrum disorder.

My specialized training in art therapy uses the creative process to discover feelings and experiences when there are no words. With the focus being on the process and materials, art therapy does not require art skill or experience. This nonverbal approach similar to talk therapy can be implemented in therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, IFS and DBT.
